Hopkit / Reference
Make something worth playing
Build a tiny platformer in eight runnable lessons, then make it your own.
Start with the playable guide or create a local project. The guide pairs real TypeScript with a running game in every chapter.
Build Pocket Trail, a small platformer you can finish and change. Each lesson includes a working game, its TypeScript source, and one setting to experiment with. You can play the checkpoints before installing anything.
Make it yours
Hopkit gives a game one owner for its canvas, input, assets and scenes. Your rules
stay in ordinary TypeScript. Move a sprite directly, or use bind to make it read a separate player model. A scene cleans up its own sprites and callbacks when you
replace it.
The first game guide starts with a character and ends with two levels, coins, sound, pause and a local save. The recipes explain how to change movement and other mechanics in source files you own.
Start a local project
Create a game explains the local initializer and npm, pnpm and Bun workflows. Hopkit is experimental and its packages are unpublished. The initializer bundles portable runtime dependencies so a generated game works outside the framework checkout.
